Shout-out to Small Businesses We LOVE

Each time we send out a newsletter, we feature a couple of small businesses that are highly recommended and personally frequented by CASE members. (CASE does not receive compensation for these shout-outs, nor do we not accept requests from businesses.)

  1. Second Wind Cafe

Oh, how we love friendly, walkable/bikeable, safe neighborhoods. Part of making this happen is having corner shops. Stop into this new locally owned corner shop, located on Washington Street between the Bates-Logan and Wellness District neighborhoods, for coffee drinks, ice cold drinks, snacks of all sorts, sweet treats, and key household items.

  1. Café 180

With a slogan of “Full Belly. Full Heart,” Café 180 serves ALL customers regardless of their ability to pay. Those who can’t pay can exchange meals for their time helping at the restaurant – resulting in, at the very least, access to healthy nutritious meals and job experience. Café 180 is a beloved Englewood fixture. CASE’s vision of sustainability includes a community that respects and takes care of folks needing a helping hand. If you’ve been intending to stop by for lunch and show support for this vision, DO IT.
